Cameras
Alexa Mini
With stunning highlight roll-off and an expansive dynamic range, this fabulous lightweight, heavy hitter sees regular use in the movie business - with credits such as Joker, Dune, The Irishman and Blade Runner 2049.
Sony FX6
An industry standard for pretty much anything non-broadcast, the FX6 is the first choice for a host of handheld run & gun coverage, as well as talking heads. It's lightweight, powerful and ideal for social media, short films, documentaries and events.
Sony FS7
This workhorse 4K camera has survived the test of time and still provides a highly cost effective solution for a range of jobs where budgets are tight. Rugged and reliable with onboard audio, the FS7 is perfect for talking heads and other audio enabled jobs.
LENSES
Canon CN-E
These super quick cine lenses give the sexy shallow 'drop off focus' we've all come to love, and they're also highly effective in low light. Ideal for locked off talking heads set ups and slo-mo B roll.
Zeiss CP-3
An alternative to the Canon Range, Zeiss lenses deliver exceptional optical performance, plus unique rendering characteristics. Also ideal for talking heads set ups and slo-mo B roll.
Sony G-Master
Two lenses to cover all the focal lengths required. Versatile glass well-suited for roaming/handheld coverage and events. Reliable and quick at f2.8, G-Master lenses benefit from great stabilisation, making them perfect for moving camera B roll.
LIGHTS
Aputure 1200/600
Aputure have been producing an expansive range of excellent quality LED lights for many years. We typically use 1200d/600d/300d for keys and fills and tailor the setup based on power requirements and the specific demands of the job.
Dedolight Head
Using small Dedolight Tungsten heads for set-lighting, backlighting and even flaring in-frame, is great way to bring an exciting aesthetic to safer lighting setups.
Fomex LED Panel
A lightweight, battery-powered LED panel is essential for all lighting kits. Whether governed by time restraints when shooting vox-pops or when space is the issue when shooting in a small room, a Fomex 2x1 LED panel is often our go to solution.
DRONE
Smooth, seemingly effortless drone footage is a great way to add an exciting extra dimension to many videos and it comes as standard at Calibre. To fly drones like the Mavic 3 Pro cine and the Air2S shown here requires extensive training and a commitment to stay up to speed on all the relevant legislation - which is why Calibre's in house pilot has successfully negotiated the A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) training. That's how we can deliver beautifully elegant, liquid movement across four axes, or dynamic fast paced, action shots. Watching Calibre drone sequences will literally carry you away - and never leave you feeling snapped out of the moment through jerky or clumsy movements.​
